About

Get to know Rebecca

Rebecca has been curating interiors since the age of 9, when her family moved into a c.1840s Italianate in Middletown, CT.

After years of sharing a bedroom with three younger siblings, she finally had a space of my own, and took all of the liberties in exercising her creative muscles.  There were at least four full bedroom makeovers and many nights spend rearranging furniture “for fun”.

In 2020 she pursued her dream of antique house ownership with the purchase of the c.1755 Caleb Bailey house, a center chimney colonial in Haddam, CT.  She worked to carefully peel back the present-day layers and create spaces that highlighted the historic materials while introducing color, pattern and texture to make it her own.  The work in her own house soon led to design and restoration work for others, including the c.1748 James Cone house which was collapsing and inhabited by a local bobcat and the c. 1745 Dr. Dudley Woodbridge Tavern in Mystic, CT.

Rebecca has designed a variety of residential interiors across Connecticut and her work has been featured in the New York Times, ICRV radio, across internet media outlets and most recently on Magnolia Network’s “In With the Old” – Season 6, Episode 4. Her main goal is to create collected, storied interiors for her clients and to help them fall in love with their home. Rebecca is especially passionate about restoring and preserving antique homes, and her old-house journey can be found on Instagram at my_1755_story.

Whether a house is 200 years old or newer construction, creating spaces that feel collected and personal, with a nod to the past, are what I do best.
I’d love to hear about your project and discuss the next chapter in your home’s story! -RL
